The first official news about Football Manager 27 has finally arrived. Players who want to help shape the future of the game now have the opportunity to join the FM27 testing team. Sports Interactive has partnered with FirstLook to expand its testing program and include members of the Football Manager community in the game’s development process.
As fans eagerly await the first gameplay details and new features for Football Manager 27, Sports Interactive has announced that it will involve Football Manager players in the game’s testing phases before revealing more information about FM27. Until now, the company relied on two primary testing groups, but with FM27 it aims to gather broader community feedback to improve the overall quality of the game before launch.
Football Manager 26 Testing Process
Football Manager 26 used two main testing phases during development:
- FM26 Alpha – The Alpha version was tested internally by Sports Interactive, Football Manager researchers, and a limited number of invited participants, such as content creators and influencers. This version was typically released around 6–8 weeks before the full launch of the game.
- FM26 Beta – The Beta version was available to everyone who pre-ordered Football Manager 26. It allowed players to experience the game early, report bugs, and provide feedback before release. The Beta was usually released around two weeks before the official launch.
For Football Manager 27, Sports Interactive is expanding its Alpha testing program by inviting Football Manager players to participate. To make this possible, the studio has partnered with FirstLook, a platform that connects developers with community playtesters.
Joining the FM27 testing program is simple. All you need to do is sign up through the FirstLook website using your Steam account and complete a short questionnaire about your gaming habits and Football Manager experience.
If you’re selected as an FM27 Alpha tester, you’ll gain access to the dedicated FM27 testing Discord server as well as the Sports Interactive testing forums, where you’ll be able to report bugs, share feedback, and help shape the development of Football Manager 27 before its official release.
